Repair & Service Rates
Evaluations/Diagnostic Fee
Simple inspections and quick assessments are often free of charge when the issue can be identified without opening the instrument.
A $50 Diagnostic/Evaluation Fee applies when an instrument requires diagnostic work, partial disassembly, or extended evaluation time.
If repair work is appproved, the full evaluation fee is applied towards the final repair cost
If no repair work is approved, the evaluation fee covers evaluation time and instrument assessment.
Labor Rate
Second Wind Accordion Repair’s labor rate is $65 per hour with a $50 minimum shop rate.
Most repair work is billed hourly due to the highly variable nature of accordion construction, condition, and previous repair history.
A detailed estimate will be provided before any repair begins and must be signed off by the client in order to begin any repair job.
