Labor rate is $65/hour.
A $50 Bench Fee applies when an instrument requires diagnostic work, partial disassembly, or extended evaluation time. If repair work is appproved, the full bench fee is applied towards the final repair cost
If no repair work is approved, the bench fee covers evaluation time and instrument assessment.

Every accordion is unique and comes with its own story and history. Age, prior repairs, reed condition, wax condition, tuning style, and parts availability all affect repair time. Second Wind Accordion Repair is a one-man repair shop that focuses on careful, long-term repair work rather than rushed production-style service. Estimates are discussed clearly before work proceeds.

Yes. We work on many types and brands of accordions including piano accordions, chromatic accordions, diatonics, vintage instruments, and newer models.

Every accordion is different, so estimates are given after evaluation. Labor is billed at an hourly rate, and a fee may apply for instruments requiring disassembly and in-depth inspection.

Yes. Reeds are tuned carefully by hand using traditional methods rather than high-speed rotary tools. This approach allows for greater precision and helps minimize unnecessary reed removal and long-term damage.

Often, yes. Many vintage accordions can be brought back into reliable playing condition depending on their overall structural health and reed condition.
